This video is a small part of the full Witcher costume tutorial from my new book: Cosplaying When You’re Broke (available on Amazon or Smashwords or wherever books are sold), which shows how to make awesome costumes without breaking the bank.
Like the rest of the costume, the Witcher medallion I made here is based on the one in the TV show, rather than the video game. If you end up tearing the outer rim of the medallion as I did, don’t worry too much about it, because the silver puffy paint will stick it back together later.
I posted the Witcher sword tutorial a few weeks ago (check that out here if you missed it). But I figured I’d do a second tutorial from the Witcher because I only ended up with 2 male characters in my book.
Cutting The Book In Half
When I first started working on my cosplay book, I had originally intended to have 16 character tutorials, with 8 of them being female and 8 of them being male characters. But after working on the book for several years, I decided to cut the list short so I could actually release the book during my lifetime, haha.
As such, The Witcher and Subzero were the only male characters I already had done. And after 5 months of working on just The Witcher, I think he may have been a big reason why I chose to cut the character list short. π So I decided I would release a second public how-to for The Witcher.
