Captain Marvel Part 2 – Belt, Pants, Boots

In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to make the second part of the requested Captain Marvel costume, the boots, pants, and belt.

How to Make a Captain Marvel Costume Part 2 - Belt, Pants, Boots 2MATERIALS USED:
Gold adhesive foilย
Scissors
1 foot of pellon
1 snap
Awl or pointed object
4 gold paper fasteners
Needle and thread
Peel and stick fabric fuse tape

Like the shirt in the part 1 of the Captain Marvel costume, the pants came from the second hand shop. And the boots, which are actually from my Superman costume also originally came from a second hand shop. So all in all this costume was pretty inexpensive to construct.

Once again I took a lot of artistic liberty with this costume in order to simplify it. But you can always add more details to make it more authentic if you want to. In the case of the boots, Captain Marvel actually had a lot more gold on them.

Normally I would have used the gold adhesive foil to put a lot more gold lines on them, but since it’s not really removable, I chose to simplify. By just running a removable string of gold beads along the top, I made them fit the Captain Marvel costume, but still be removable for the Superman costume. Reusing cosplay pieces can save a lot of money.
