Power Rangers V Lancer How To DIY (Extendable) – Lightspeed Rescue

This week’s tutorial is a cheap and easy Power Rangers V Lancer tutorial, made out of cardboard.

Power Ranger V Lancer How To - Lightspeed Rescue

MATERIALS USED:
Power Rangers V Lancer Template: (available free in my patterns vault)
2 cardboard tubes – one that fits inside the other
Cardboard
2mm craft foam
Metallic silver paint (Silver Anniversary)
Black Metallic paint
Yellow Paint
Metallic Blue paint
Orange paint
White paint
Metallic bronze paint
Gold Metallic paint
Paint brush
White school glue
Yellow Puffy Paint
Magnets
Pencil
Utility knife
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Glue that will bond metal (Power-tac)
Old puffy paint bottle (can use any kind of pointed bottle cap)

This V Lancer is a great way to use up any old wrapping paper tubes you might have lying around. (You have been saving your wrapping paper tubes right?) All it takes is a little creativity and a lot of paint.

If you’re a Power Rangers fan, you’ll probably notice that I did put the end piece on upside down by accident. I suppose these things are bound to happen when you’re making props at 2AM 😉

I did make a free template for the handle part, listed above. And the best part is, the handle does actually extend.

The V is also removable if you use strong magnets like I did. Though you can also just glue it in place for a permanent position.
